Flower Faerie

Today I've been busy helping to arrange the church flowers for a local wedding, and I even dragged my poor, long suffering, boyfriend along.   Funnily enough he discovered a hitherto hidden talent for flower arranging.  To commemorate the moment I drew a little picture.  Who says 6 ft, hairy, bodybuilders can’t be flower fairies?

Cat and Mouse (and sometimes Dog).

The two drawings below were the inspiration for the cat and mouse pictures.   The second in particular was inspired by many conversations between me and my boyfriend.  I’m pretty sure he loves me.  Apologies for the dismal scan.

Roughs

Something I’m working on at the moment, I actually prefer the rough, which is irritating as I had to restart the ink outline about four times and I’m still not happy with it.  I may try again, or I may colour it and see if I feel any better about it, who knows.  I’m working on lots of things at the moment, some urgent, some not, so this drawing might not be finished for a while.  But I had this image stuck in my head and I had to get it down on paper.  These are complete scans, so no nice clean up, that will come later.

Bioshock Infinite Elizabeth Doll

This is my Bioshock Infinite Elizabeth doll.  I love the official doll, but I can’t quite afford one at the moment, so, being a doll maker, I decided to make one myself.  She’s about 21.5 cm tall with a wire frame, fabric body and moulded head, hands and feet.  I've tried to keep her as close to the character in the game as possible.  I’ll upload some proper studio photo at some point, but I finished her today and it was nice and sunny so I thought some outdoor shots would be fun.

I originally wanted to make an Elizabeth wearing the clothes she wears in the first part of the game, so she would contrast with the official doll, but I didn't have quite the right fabric, so here she is in her second outfit.

I’m still not sure about the freckles, I don’t remember her having any in the game, but the official doll does.  I’ve left them on any way, because I think they add a bit more character to her face.  She’s wearing the bird brooch because that’s the one I chose in the game, I figured she’d spent her life in a cage, the last thing she’d want is to be reminded of it.

Some Illustrations.

Currently working on lots of different things, including a doll of Elizabeth from Bioshock Infinite, so hopefully I’ll have some photos of her to upload tomorrow.   In the mean time here are some of my past illustrations.

Demon

The other day I was asked by someone to draw their demon.  It needed to be the embodiment of obsession, hunger, repressed aggression and predatory.   This person also likes cats a lot, so I threw that in there to.  Tricky things to fit in one creature, without, you know, just drawing a lion, but this is my attempt.

I inverted the picture, just for fun, and actually I like it just as much this way.  It makes it look like his face is lit from the inside, like a Halloween pumpkin.
